100 Places

100 Places of Bartholomew County is a community-led effort to name the county’s most significant places and record why they matter. Over the coming year, we will gather nominations from residents across Bartholomew County, building a list together that belongs to everyone.

More than a list—and not a ranking—100 Places brings together historic research, oral histories, and personal stories to better understand what our community values and why. These places might be buildings and landscapes, gathering spaces, or even places that live primarily in memory.

We are thankful to our initial group of Community Ambassadors who will help us shepherd this process. Ambassadors include Nic Cable of the Unitarian Universalist Church of Columbus, Ashley Caceras of Su Casa, Jessica Deckard of The Yellowtrail Museum, Freddie King of the Council for Youth Development, Bartholomew County, and Meghan Smith of the Bartholomew County Historical Society.
